FAQs

  • How long does it take to get started with an agency?
This is a great question! It really depends on the nanny agency and most agencies have a rigorous screening process. After going through the screening process and getting vetted by the agency, you then go through another screening process with the family. Ultimately, the timeline would go as follows: Application - You will fill out the application on a nanny agency's website and attach your resume. Before applying, you should make sure your resume is updated and your references are aware that agencies may be contacting them. Phone Interview - The agency will set up a time to talk with you via phone. This will be a brief call, typically 10-20 minutes. Just to get a feel for you and find out what you're seeking. Virtual Interview - This will be your interview after the phone call and typically lasts anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half. This is where you want to sell yourself, but not too much. Don't overdo it. The agency will know when you aren't being yourself, or answering the questions the way you think they want you to answer them. This is where your mentorship training comes in. The agency will go over your job history, find out your likes and dislikes, and what you're looking for in your next nanny position. References - Great references go a long way. An agency cannot showcase you to their families seeking care without verifying your references first. Documentation - The agency will request, if they did not request prior, all your certifications, passport, covid cards...the agency will ask you to email them copies of up-to-date documents including CPR & First Aid cards. Background Checks - The agency will run criminal and driving record checks on you, the standard background checks that all companies run before hiring you. This is also the stage when the agency will email over to you DocuSign's or something similar so you can sign off on confidentiality documents. Social Media Review - Some agencies will ask for your social media handles. Please make sure your social media is professional. Good rule of thumb is to have a personal account and a professional account. All of those steps are just for the agency! After going through that process, the agency will decide if you are a good candidate for their clients or not. If you are, they will create a profile for you in their system and start sending your profile out to clients/nanny positions you applied for within their company. The process will then repeat. You will do a phone interview with the family, followed by a virtual interview. Then, you will do a meet and greet with the family/nanny trial. You have to be patient when going through a nanny agency because the process can take a month or longer before actually getting placed through an agency. Longer, if it's a high-profile nanny position since those pay the most and candidates flock to those positions more. Remember, agencies only interview 5% of nannies that apply with them and only place 1-3% of that five. Also remember, a nanny agency will never make the nanny pay a fee to work with them, the families are paying the agency to find them a nanny. If an agency requires a fee from you, no matter how small, they are a scam.

  • What is included in the Nanny Mentorship Program?
The mentorship includes 45-minute Zoom Consultation, resume revamp assistance, interview preparation via a mock interview, contract assistance, job search assistance, a nanny questionnaire so we can evaluate your skills before doing the zoom intake, and a 48-page nanny guide that is filled with all the resources you will need to become a successful High-Profile Nanny. During your zoom call, we will talk about what you're working towards fulfilling in your nanny career and if you need more childcare training, we have a great resource where you can get free, self-paced, childcare training that gives out certificates, so you add that to your resume as well. Our nanny guide has been a help to so many nannies because it's all the a la cart guides listed on the website packed into one and we add more to the that guide as we go. While you can buy the guides individually, the "Complete Six-Figure Nanny Guide" is only available through the nanny mentorship purchase and has three other guides included in it that is not sold separately/individually. Lastly, and it's currently in the works, we will be adding a years' worth of lesson plans that cater to children one year - four years old (which can be revamped for children older by adding extra enrichment) to the mentorship program. All of our current and future mentees will receive the lesson plans. We understand how hard it is being a nanny and running out of ideas or things to do. Also, some nannies have a hard time creating lesson plans and High-Profile families love to see lesson plans implemented into their child's daily routines. While we currently have the lesson plans in a hard copy, we are working hard to make them digital, and it may take a little time, but it's well underway.
  • Are we a nanny agency?
No. Not yet. It's something we are in the process of building but as of now, we are happy being nanny coaches and mentors. Our work here isn't finished yet and this is where we are focusing our time and energy at the current moment. In the future, we will shift to not only mentoring, coaching, and advocating for nannies, to placing them in high-profile households, and when that time comes, our mentees will be the first to know.
  • High Profile Nanny Requirements

  • Do we assist with job placement??
We help our mentees to find High-Profile and high paying nanny positions by sending them links, resources, and postings that we find or that are sent to our emails seeking High-Profile nannies. Because, we have been in the industry for a while, we often get emailed job positions for families seeking High-Profile nannies and we either send out an email list with that information or we post the email list on our Instagram story. We will also do a weeks' worth of job hunting for our mentees, as well as informing them of which agencies have the best high paying nanny positions that they should apply to.
  • Are we on social media?
We are! We currently have an Instagram page and recently joined the TikTok community. You can find us @thatsixfigurenanny on both platforms. Follow our IG so you won't miss updates about everything six-figure nanny related and follow our TikTok so you can check out the perks of being a high-profile nanny as well as how you can enter the high-profile nanny market.
  • What is a High-Profile Nanny?
A High-Profile Nanny is a nanny that services public figures and/or celebrities. Much like a UHNW (Ultra High Networth) Nanny or a HNW (High Networth) Nanny, we provide care for families that gross $5 Million - $30+ Million a year. That can be anyone from professional athletes, actors, actresses, musicians, tech millionaires, and more. When it comes to High-Profile clients, this would be anyone that can be recognized by the public.
  • Do you have to sign an NDA?
Yes. We use an NDA to protect our nanny guide. We have worked very hard to fill the guides with useful information that has proven to be successful in the nanny field and landing high-profile/high-paying nanny positions as well as celebrity nanny positions. Because of this and because our guide is patented and copywritten, there is an NDA that needs to be signed before we can give out access to the guide. The NDA also protects both TSFN and the mentee in case the mentee needs help going over contract negotiations or simply needs to vent. In this career field, we don't have co-workers or an HR Department and sometimes we just need to talk, get things out, and figure out how to handle certain situations. That's what our mentorship program is here for!
  • What is That Six-Figure Nanny?
That Six-Figure Nanny is a nanny mentorship program that supports nannies in their journey to financial freedom and career growth. We have helped tons of nanny's land six-figure nanny positions through our knowledge, resources, resume revamps, and interview preparation programs. Unlike nanny agencies, who cater to the needs of parents seeking quality nannies, we are nanny advocates who cater to the betterment of current and future nannies by helping them gain the skills they need to acquire high paying nanny positions. We believe all nannies work extremely hard and should be paid a fair rate that represents the work we do. That Six-Figure Nanny is made up of three active nannies who collectively have 25+ years of nanny experience. Our owner Josie is not just an active nanny but, an active High-Profile Nanny who has worked for multiple High-Profile clients. Some nannies are fortunate enough to land six-figure nanny positions as a "once in a lifetime" ordeal. What makes us special, and unlike any other nanny mentor, is Josie has done it several times over by using the same tips, resources, and guidance we provide our mentees through our mentorship program. We pride ourselves on being able to help nannies change their own lives by securing six-figure positions as well. Our goal is to get childcare providers on the path to becoming a successful High Profile Nanny. With that comes Celebrity Nanny, UHNW, and HNW Nannies.
